The trial against five young men at the district court of Rheinfelden AG began on Monday. Initially, it will be about the questioning of two defendants who are alleged to have been involved in four and one offense respectively.

Most of the morning was taken up by the defense lawyer of one of the main accused. For over two hours, he criticized the proceedings, repeated motions and spoke of incomplete evidence.

There is great interest in the court case. This is why the trial is being held in the hall of the fire station in Rheinfelden and not in the court building.

One of the main defendants appeared in court wearing a cap, sunglasses and a face mask. He and another young man wore ankle cuffs and handcuffs, accompanied by police. Both are in custody.

The group, which called itself the "wolf pack" in its chat, is said to have committed numerous crimes. The cutting of the fiber optic cable network in Rheinfelden in particular caused a stir.
