Shortly before the end of the disembarkation of the passengers and some of the crew, the cruise ship "Hondius" affected by hantavirus infections was moored at a pier. The reason for this was the rising wind, which would make it too difficult to pick up the passengers in small boats, as was the case the day before, said a correspondent from the Spanish state TV station RTVE in a live broadcast from the port of Granadilla in the south of Tenerife. The "Hondius" is anchored in the harbor.

The fact that the ship is now connected to land after all is likely to cause criticism on the island. The regional government of the Canary Islands had insisted in advance that the "Hondius" should not dock because it was concerned that mice with the hantavirus could come ashore.
The disembarkation of the last people on board, who are to be flown out, was expected in the evening. The "Hondius" was then to set sail for the Netherlands with a remaining crew.
