Case of death Suspected femicide: woman found dead in Carouge GE
A 52-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment in Carouge GE on Saturday. Her partner was arrested on suspicion of murder, as the Geneva public prosecutor's office announced on Monday.

A police patrol found the victim's body shortly after four o'clock in the morning. The police had previously been alerted by the emergency call center. According to initial findings, the woman died in the night from Friday to Saturday as a result of the blows inflicted on her.
Her partner is currently suspected of having inflicted the fatal injuries. The 49-year-old man has been arrested and questioned. At the request of the public prosecutor's office, the compulsory measures court ordered that the man be remanded in custody.
The investigation is being conducted by the criminal investigation department under the direction of public prosecutor Guillaume Zuber. The Geneva public prosecutor's office made no further comment - but pointed out that the accused is still presumed innocent.
