The safety of passengers and crew is the top priority, Swiss announced on Monday. Specialists are monitoring the situation and are in contact with the relevant authorities in Switzerland and on the ground.
The Lufthansa subsidiary is offering affected passengers the option of rebooking their flight to a later date or refunding the full ticket price, it added.
Swiss had already announced last Tuesday that it would not be operating flights to and from Tel Aviv. Swiss had only resumed its flights to the Israeli Mediterranean metropolis at the beginning of September, after having suspended flights to Ben Gurion Airport since the beginning of August.
