In his first year in office, Swiss Life CEO Matthias Aellig earned less than his predecessor Patrick Frost. He earned 3.22 million Swiss francs, compared to 4.04 million for Frost in the previous year, according to the annual report published on Wednesday.

However, Aellig only took up the position of CEO in May, before that he was Chief Financial Officer.
Remuneration for the entire Group Executive Board also fell slightly. It received CHF 16.66 million for the past year after CHF 16.72 million in 2023.
On the Board of Directors, Chairman Rolf Dörig was remunerated CHF 1.20 million for his services last year, as in the previous year. The entire Board of Directors received CHF 3.58 million, roughly the same amount as in the previous year.
