EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas (l.) was received by Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis in Zurich on Thursday evening. The EU and Switzerland have agreed to intensify cooperation on foreign and security policy.

Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas have signed a joint declaration on strengthening foreign and security policy cooperation. A regular dialog is planned.
The agreement is not part of the Switzerland-EU package (Bilaterals III), as was reported in a press release issued by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) on Thursday. Cassis and Defense Minister Martin Pfister met with EU foreign affairs representative Kaja Kallas in Zurich on Thursday.
