Switzerland has the most expensive vacation apartments in the Alps. Of the top 10 tourist resorts with the highest prices per square meter, 9 are in Switzerland. St. Moritz is now at the top, having overtaken Verbier.

It is followed by Zermatt, Gstaad and Andermatt, according to the UBS Alpine Property Focus 2025 vacation apartment study, which was published on Wednesday. The French destination of Courchevel follows in 6th place in the European Alpine region. The remaining places in the top 10 are also all Swiss resorts: Flims/Laax, Davos/Klosters, Lenzerheide and the Jungfrau region.

The highest prices per square meter can be found in the Engadin/St. Moritz destination: a second home in the upper segment costs at least CHF 22,300 per square meter. This means that a 2.5-room apartment with 70 square meters costs just under 1.6 million francs. Prices in the upmarket Graubünden resort have risen by 4 percent compared to the previous year.
