A car and a motorcycle collided in Gossau SG on Friday evening. A 17-year-old female motorcyclist sustained undetermined injuries. She was taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

The 45-year-old car driver left the parking lot of a shopping center at 6.20 p.m. and wanted to turn into the center of Gossau, wrote the St. Gallen cantonal police in a statement on Saturday.

The 17-year-old was riding her motorcycle from the center in the direction of Niederwil. When the car driver then turned into Wilerstrasse in her car, the car and the motorcycle collided, according to the statement.

According to the press release, the motorcyclist fell and sustained undetermined injuries; she was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. The vehicles were damaged to the tune of around 15,000 Swiss francs.
