A 19-year-old driver was caught by the Bernese cantonal police on the Susten Pass at 142 kilometers per hour. The speed limit on the stretch of road in Gadmen was only 80 km/h.

As the police announced on Monday, the incident was recorded on June 21 - shortly before eight o'clock in the morning. The young man was driving towards the top of the pass when he fell into the speed trap.

The investigation later led the authorities to the canton of Fribourg, where the suspected speeding driver was located. According to the police, the accused confessed. He will now have to answer to the courts for the massive speeding offense.
