An 87-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Stäfa on Wednesday morning. According to initial investigations, he had fallen himself.

The man was found unconscious next to his bike on Seestrasse, as the Zurich cantonal police reported on Wednesday. Why he fell is still being investigated.

The 87-year-old sustained serious head injuries in the accident and had to be taken to hospital.
