The building of an orientation school in Sierre VS was evacuated on Friday morning following a bomb threat. In the afternoon, the police gave the all-clear: it was a false alarm. The police arrested the 14-year-old suspected perpetrator.
He is a pupil from the school concerned, the Goubing orientation school, according to the Valais cantonal police. The authorities tracked him down following initial investigations. The juvenile court initiated an investigation.

Pupils, teachers and other school staff had to leave the school immediately after receiving the alarm in the morning at the behest of the police. The police set up a security perimeter around the building. A thorough search of the premises did not reveal any dangerous objects and the police gave the all-clear.
They reminded the public that setting off a false alarm is an offense punishable by up to three years imprisonment or a fine. The perpetrators can also be ordered to pay the deployment costs. The 14-year-old alleged perpetrator will also have to answer to the juvenile court for scaring the public.
At the beginning of the week, Collège Léon-Michaud in Yverdon-les-Bains VD was evacuated twice within two days following two bomb threats. So far, no suspect has been found.
