The St. Gallen and Appenzellerland traffic cadets need new uniforms. The cantonal council of Ausserrhoden has approved 5,000 francs from the lottery fund for this purpose, according to a statement from the cantonal chancellery. A total of 204,685 francs was distributed.

The "step into Action Summit 2024" event at the Herisau Vocational Training Center (BBZ) will be supported with CHF 20,000. All upper secondary school classes from Eastern Switzerland are invited to visit the interactive course on sustainable development for a week at the beginning of September.

10,000 francs will go to the "Frauen-K" program at the Pestalozzi Children's Village. This is an open meeting place for women "of all generations and cultures", as it says in its own description. The aim is to encourage participation and mutual support. The Women's Coffee takes place every first Tuesday of Monday, except during the school vacations.

Further contributions for projects within Ausserrhoden went to the Pro Alte Mühle Wolfhalden association (CHF 10,000) and the Sprötzehuus Rehetobel culture cooperative (CHF 10,000). CHF 20,000 was awarded to the "Animal-assisted interventions in addiction work" project at Reha Lutzenberg.
