Two suspects were arrested in Liestal early Wednesday morning following thefts from vehicles. They are said to have stolen criminal property from at least three cars, according to the Basel police.

A local resident had observed the two men searching a parked car on Brunnhaldenweg shortly after 4.00 am. She informed the police, who launched a manhunt. According to the statement, the arrested men are two Algerians aged 35 and 44.
