  • Two Brits raced over the Flüela in their sports bikes on Wednesday.
  • They have lost their Swiss pass and will have to answer to the courts.

On Wednesday morning, the Graubünden cantonal police carried out a speed check on the Flüela Pass. Two drivers were recorded driving at massively excessive speeds.

The two drivers, a 62-year-old and a 30-year-old British man, were driving downhill from the Flüela hospice towards Susch shortly after 11 am. At the Röven location, the two sports cars were recorded by the laser measuring device at a speed of 153 km/h. After deducting the prescribed tolerance, the net speed was 148 km/h.

The general speed limit outside built-up areas is 80 km/h at this location. The two British drivers' licenses for Switzerland were immediately revoked by the cantonal police of Graubünden. The two men now have to answer to the courts.
