Storm Cantonal road between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald completely open

The cantonal road between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald can now be used again in both directions without restriction. This was announced by the Canton of Bern on Wednesday evening.

During the storm on Monday evening, around 80 meters of the cantonal road in the area of the Chienbach were covered with rubble. The layer was up to four meters high in places, as the Department of Construction and Transport wrote in a press release.

In total, the civil engineering office cleared around 3,000 cubic meters of material. This corresponds to the volume of around 200 truckloads, it added.

One lane of the cantonal road had already been reopened on Tuesday evening with alternating traffic guidance.
