Traffic accident Car collides with truck on the A2 highway in Emmen LU

A car collided with the rear of a truck on the A2 highway near Emmen early Friday morning. The driver and her passenger had to be taken to hospital for a check-up.

As a result of the collision, the car first hit a crash barrier and then a concrete safety barrier, as reported by Lucerne police on Friday. The vehicle finally came to a halt on the emergency lane. The cause of the accident is still unclear. Property damage of around 25,000 Swiss francs was caused.
