A cyclist was knocked down by a car in a traffic accident in Basel early on Sunday morning. The driver of the car hit and ran without taking care of the injured cyclist, as reported by the Basel-Stadt traffic police on Monday.

The accident occurred at around 4.30 a.m. on Karl-Barth-Platz. The police are looking for witnesses and are calling on the fleeing driver to come forward.
