A car left the road in Weggis LU on Wednesday evening and got stuck in a meadow. The driver had to be taken to hospital.

The accident occurred when the driver left the road on Untereggistrasse, as reported by Lucerne police on Thursday.
The driver was injured and had to be taken to hospital. A blood and urine sample was ordered. The Küssnacht and Weggis fire departments and a towing company were deployed to recover the car, according to the police.
Another accident occurred in Knutwil on Thursday morning when a car skidded on the wet roadway of the A2 highway in the southbound direction, according to the police. The car collided with the crash barrier. The driver and his passenger had to be taken to hospital for a check-up, with property damage amounting to around 30,000 Swiss francs.
