A 20-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on the A3 highway near Zeiningen at 3.10 a.m. on Saturday. He broke through a wildlife protection fence and drove over an embankment. The vehicle finally came to a standstill on its roof. No one was injured.

The driver first drove onto the grass verge in the middle of the highway before jerking the steering wheel to the right, according to the Aargau cantonal police on Saturday morning. The car then crossed both lanes and left the highway.

The young man told the police that he had swerved to avoid an animal, according to the statement. They temporarily confiscated his driver's license.
