The City of Bern is supporting the fight against the Mpox virus in African countries as part of its emergency aid. To this end, it is donating 25,000 francs to the children's charity Unicef, as announced on Friday.

Unicef is involved in training and prevention measures, provides medical material, supports vaccination campaigns and promotes the exchange of data. According to the communiqué, these measures are currently being implemented primarily in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic.
