Traffic accident Cyclist injured in accident with horse trailer in Schaffhausen

A cyclist was injured in an accident involving a car with a horse trailer in Schaffhausen on Sunday afternoon. The 88-year-old e-bike rider had to be taken to hospital, according to the police.

The horse trailer hit the cyclist on Schweizersbildstrasse. This was at the point where an independent cycle path leads onto a cycle lane on the road, according to a statement from the Schaffhausen police. The cyclist fell and sustained injuries.

The car with the trailer was being driven by a 44-year-old woman. The cause of the accident and how it happened are the subject of an ongoing investigation, the Schaffhausen police added.
