Traffic accident Cyclist injured in collision with motorcycle in Andermatt UR

A cyclist and a motorcyclist collided in Andermatt UR on Monday. The cyclist was seriously injured, according to the Uri cantonal police.

According to the police, the motorcyclist wanted to overtake the cyclist on the Oberalpstrasse downhill when the collision occurred. The cause of the accident has not yet been clarified, as the police wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

The 71-year-old cyclist was taken to the cantonal hospital by the Uri rescue service. The 23-year-old motorcyclist was slightly injured but did not require hospitalization.
