Escape Drunk man flees from the police by car in Frauenfeld

A 32-year-old Dutchman fled from the police in his car in Frauenfeld on Friday night. The drunk man and his passenger were arrested, according to the police. Both persons will be reported to the public prosecutor's office.

Shortly before midnight, a police patrol came across a car with its hazard lights on and speeding on a section of road marked as a one-way street, as the Thurgau cantonal police wrote in a statement on Friday.

The 32-year-old driver swerved his car to avoid the patrol. When he had to stop his vehicle after a short escape, the Dutchman and his co-driver from Romania were arrested.

According to the police, a breath test revealed that the driver had a blood alcohol level of over one per mille. He also did not have a driver's license.
