Parmelin is visiting the cattle show at the invitation of the canton's governor Stefan Müller (center). The "Vechschau", as it is known in the Innerrhoden dialect, will take place on October 8 on the Brauereiplatz in Appenzell.

At the cattle show, farmers from the canton present their breeding successes to the public. Experts judge the cows, cattle and bulls on the basis of beauty and performance. The animals are paraded up and down to the sound of bells and natural yodeling.

The cattle show in Appenzell has been taking place since the middle of the 19th century.
