A fire broke out in a two-family house in Uetendorf on Wednesday afternoon. Extinguishing work was still underway in the early evening.

The fire was reported to the fire department shortly before 4 pm. The Bernese cantonal police confirmed a corresponding report by the news portal Bärn Today. There are said to have been no injuries.

A thunderstorm was passing over the region at the time the fire broke out. A possible connection with the fire was initially unclear.
