Traffic accident Five cars crash into each other on the A1 highway near Münchwilen TG

Five cars were damaged in a rear-end collision on the A1 highway near Münchwilen TG on Friday. A 58-year-old female driver suffered minor injuries. She was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. The other occupants of the cars were uninjured.

On the stretch between Wil and Münchwilen, a lane change to the normal lane was signaled in the afternoon due to maintenance work, as the Thurgau cantonal police reported on Saturday. For unknown reasons, a collision occurred at this point.

Traffic was held up for two hours after the accident due to police work and the recovery of the vehicles. The vehicles sustained material damage amounting to several tens of thousands of francs.
