This is the case with regard to the further development of bilateral relations with the EU, Switzerland's role in the European security architecture, financial and economic policy and the energy transition, according to a statement issued by the GLP parliamentary group on Tuesday.
It also states that the GLP parliamentary group recognizes the centrist claim to a seat on the Federal Council. The GLP parliamentary group thus confirmed its position from last Wednesday. At that time, parliamentary group leader Corina Gredig announced that Pfister was closer to the group than Ritter.
The FDP parliamentary group also met again on Tuesday. Following the meeting, the party announced on request that the FDP parliamentary group would not be making an election recommendation.
