Health insurance premiums in Graubünden will rise by 6.6 percent next year, slightly more than the national average of plus 6 percent. However, premiums will remain well below the Swiss average.

The people of Graubünden will pay an average of CHF 332.6 per month in health insurance premiums in 2025, as announced by the Federal Office of Public Health on Thursday. This is 20.6 francs more than before. By comparison, the average premium in Switzerland next year will be CHF 378.7.

There are also differences between the age groups in Graubünden. The biggest increase is in the 19 to 25 age group, with a rise of 7.7 percent to CHF 266.7. The increase for children and minors was 5.7 percent (to CHF 103.7) and for adults 6.2 percent (to CHF 384.9).

The development is in line with expectations, explained Rudolf Leuthold, head of the Graubünden health authority, to the Keystone-SDA news agency.
