A road accident in Basel's Black Forest Tunnel caused a major traffic jam on the A2 during the morning rush hour on Friday morning. No one was injured, according to the cantonal police.

The 29-year-old man crashed into a tunnel wall at around 05:00. One lane was closed for the investigation and recovery of the vehicle involved in the accident. The cause of the accident is unclear and is being investigated.
