Northern Switzerland Man seriously injured in e-scooter accident in Balsthal SO
In the old town of Balsthal SO, an e-scooter rider crashed on Sunday night for as yet unexplained reasons and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, as reported by the Solothurn cantonal police on Sunday.

Shortly before 01.45 a.m., a third party found the man seriously injured on Herrengasse. It was initially unclear why he fell off his e-scooter. After initial treatment by the crew of an ambulance, a rescue helicopter was called out. However, the helicopter was unable to fly due to the rain, which is why the 41-year-old victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Investigations by the police and the public prosecutor's office are ongoing, according to reports. The accident victim is a middle-aged man, the Solothurn cantonal police said on request. The police are looking for witnesses.
