Traffic accident Motorcyclist has an accident in Nidwalden while fleeing from police

A female motorcyclist evaded a police check in Stans NW on Monday. She drove off at excessive speed and fled on foot after an accident, according to the Nidwalden cantonal police.

During her escape in the direction of Buochs NW, the 35-year-old Swiss woman crossed safety lines. She also overtook despite oncoming traffic, as the police wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

After an accident shortly before the Fadenbrücke highway underpass, in which the woman sustained minor injuries, she fled on foot, the statement continued. She was stopped by the police.

According to the police, the woman lives in the canton of Nidwalden. She does not have a valid driver's license. The exact background to the crime and further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
