Traffic accident Motorcyclist dies after collision with car in Hombrechtikon

In an accident between a motorcycle and a car in Hombrechtikon on Wednesday evening, the motorcyclist suffered extremely serious injuries. He died at the scene of the accident.

The 39-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle for reasons that are not yet clear and crashed, as reported by the Zurich cantonal police on Thursday. The driver and the motorcycle skidded into the oncoming lane on a bend. There, they collided with the car of a 54-year-old female driver.

The car driver was uninjured, but suffered a shock and was attended to by a member of a care team. The accident occurred shortly before 6.30 p.m. on Etzelstrasse. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
