The number of unemployed people in the canton of Solothurn increased slightly at the end of June. Compared to the previous month, 33 more people were registered as unemployed, bringing the total to 3315.
Despite this minimal increase, the unemployment rate remained at 2.2 percent, as the canton announced on Thursday. The national rate is currently 2.3 percent, which is slightly higher.
The canton of Solothurn cites weak export figures and the strong Swiss franc as the reasons for the slight increase in unemployment figures.
