An argument broke out between two men outside a dance in Sargans on Thursday night. A 43-year-old Swiss man had to be airlifted to hospital after he was allegedly seriously injured in the face with a glass by a Tunisian man.

According to the St. Gallen cantonal police on Thursday, the two men of the same age initially argued verbally with each other. The Tunisian was arrested. The incident occurred shortly before 2.30 a.m. at night.

The St. Gallen cantonal police are conducting further investigations under the direction of the St. Gallen public prosecutor's office. The police have issued an appeal for witnesses.
