A 76-year-old man injured his wife during an argument in Widen AG on Monday evening. According to the cantonal police, the victim suffered stab wounds. The police arrested the pensioner.

The woman was found in a residential building, as the Aargau cantonal police confirmed on Tuesday in response to an inquiry from the online portal blick.ch. The woman is in hospital. She is said to be out of danger.
