Bern Police looking for witnesses after attic fire in Kehrsatz

Police are looking for witnesses who made "suspicious observations" in the vicinity of the property following a fire in an attic in Kehrsatz. No one was injured in the fire on Wednesday evening.

An ambulance team checked several residents on suspicion of smoke inhalation. The residential part of the building is currently no longer habitable. Alternative accommodation has been organized for those affected.

The fire in the residential and commercial building on Unterer Breitenacker was reported shortly before midnight. When the emergency services arrived on site, the attic was already fully engulfed in flames. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, the Bern cantonal police announced on Thursday.
