A quad bike overturned on an alpine road in Jenaz GR early on Thursday morning and plunged down an embankment. The 22-year-old driver was able to jump off the four-wheeled motor vehicle, but her passenger, who was the same age, was hit by the quad bike and suffered moderate injuries.

According to the Graubünden cantonal police, the two were traveling uphill at around 4:00 a.m. to care for alpine cattle. After the accident, the driver administered first aid to her injured passenger and alerted the emergency services. A Rega crew recovered the man with a winch and flew him to hospital in Chur.

Apparently, the quad bike had swerved to the left on the road before falling over the embankment. The exact circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
