Operation Libero's stance is still the same as it was in December. Ameti had made a mistake and asked for an apology. "Sanija Ameti remains our co-president."
The previous day, Ameti had announced her resignation from the GLP. It remains to be seen whether she will now join another party. But she doesn't seem to be in a hurry.
"Parties are like underpants"
In an Instagram post, she compared parties to underpants that "all cling between the cheeks". She's enjoying it without them for now. The next session of the Zurich city parliament took place on Wednesday evening. It remains to be seen where the former GLP municipal councillor will sit in future: she was absent from the meeting.
She took part in a meeting of the municipal council again for the first time in December. Last September, Ameti shot an air pistol at a catalog page of an auction house depicting Mary and Jesus.
As a result, she lost her job at a PR company and was on sick leave for weeks. The Zurich public prosecutor's office also opened criminal proceedings. They are investigating whether the 32-year-old disturbed freedom of religion and worship.
