Train services are disrupted between Olten and Aarburg-Oftringen. SBB is reporting a technical disruption that is expected to last until at least 7pm.

Due to a points fault at Olten station, rail services between Olten and Aarburg-Oftringen are currently interrupted and travelers can expect delays, cancellations and detour, according to SBB.

This affects the IC21, IR26, IR27 and RE24 lines on the Basel - Lucerne axis as well as the S23 and S29. Restrictions are expected to last until at least 7 pm.

Passengers traveling between Basel SBB, Olten and Lucerne, Arth-Goldau, Bellinzona, Lugano or Milano Centrale are asked to travel via Zurich main station.

    All-clear after deployment of specialist service

    SBB reports that the intervention of the specialist service was successful. The points fault has been repaired. Normal train services are expected from around 19:45. However, according to SBB, subsequent delays are to be expected.

    According to SBB, a repair team should be on site at around 6.30 pm. The specialist service will take care of the defective points. There is no forecast for the duration of the work.
