Road traffic accident Scooter rider seriously injured in crash in Opfikon

A scooter rider was seriously injured in an accident in Opfikon on Wednesday morning: The 16-year-old Swiss man skidded in a traffic circle for unknown reasons and crashed as a result.

According to the Zurich cantonal police, the accident occurred shortly after 6.30 a.m. on Wallisellerstrasse at the traffic circle with Thurgauerstrasse/Ringstrasse. The police are now clarifying the exact cause of the accident in collaboration with the juvenile prosecutor's office.
