In a head-on collision between two cars early on Friday evening in Aeschlen near Oberdiessbach, one man was seriously injured and another slightly. The driver of a truck, who was also involved in the accident, was uninjured, according to police reports.
According to a statement from the Bern cantonal police, the driver of one of the cars was traveling on Lindenstrasse from Linden in the direction of Oberdiessbach. While overtaking the truck, he crashed his vehicle into an oncoming car.
The driver of the overtaking car was slightly injured, it was reported. In contrast, the driver of the oncoming car suffered serious injuries.
The accident was reported to the police shortly after 5.30 pm. They have started an investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
