The previous trend in the Solothurn cantonal elections has been confirmed: The incumbent Sandra Kolly (center) is in the lead according to the interim results. She is followed by Sibylle Jeker (SVP) and incumbent Peter Hodel (FDP).

In fourth place is incumbent Susanne Schaffner (SP), followed by Edgar Kupper (center). So far, 91 of 106 municipalities have been counted. Only Kolly has achieved an absolute majority. The results for the cities of Solothurn and Olten, among others, are missing.

Marco Lupi (FDP) is in sixth place, followed by Mathias Stricker (SP) and Daniel Urech (Greens). The SVP wants to be represented in the five-member government for the first time. The Center Party wants to win a second seat. The FDP wants to retain its second seat.

The government council is currently made up of two representatives from the FDP and one representative each from the Center Party, SP and Greens. Brigit Wyss (Greens) and Remo Ankli (FDP) are no longer standing for election.
