They were flashed at speeds of 123 km/h and 125 km/h in Küttigen, as reported by the cantonal police on Sunday. The speed limit on the stretch of road in question is 80 km/h.
Four car drivers and two motorcyclists were also speeding. They were measured at speeds of between 114 and 120 km/h. They are allowed to continue driving for the time being, but will have to reckon with a subsequent withdrawal of their license by the road traffic authorities.
The speeding offenders are between 26 and 60 years old, according to the police. They pointed out that there are also many cyclists on roads such as the one over the Staffelegg, as well as pedestrians, some of whom have to cross the road.
