As the two police forces announced on Saturday, this means that the owners must restore their vehicles to the correct condition. They then have to apply to the road traffic office to put their vehicle back on the road. The technical traffic checks took place on Friday.

The motorcycle of a 17-year-old teenager with various technical modifications and defects was taken out of service. A woman who replaced the central silencer of her exhaust system with a direct pipe and disabled one of the exhaust flaps is also no longer allowed to use her car.

The same applies to a man who was driving with unregistered rims of a different type, worn tires and a modified central silencer. All road users stopped will be reported to the public prosecutor's office.

Several patrols and specialists from the St. Gallen city police and the St. Gallen cantonal police as well as an expert from the Road Traffic and Shipping Office of the Canton of St. Gallen were deployed.
