Municipalities Thomas Iten remains mayor of Ostermundigen

The independent Thomas Iten will remain mayor of Ostermundigen for a further term of office. As the only candidate for the office, the municipal council declared him elected in a silent election, as the municipality announced on Wednesday.

The next legislative period runs from 2025 to 2028. Iten has been the mayor of Ostermundigen since 2013. He successfully defended his office in 2016 and 2020. He originally belonged to the SP.
