Personnel policy Thurgau cantonal employees can buy vacation days
From next year, Thurgau state employees will be able to buy vacation days. According to a press release, this will allow one or two additional weeks of vacation per year.

In order to increase the canton's attractiveness as an employer, the government has decided that employees will be able to purchase additional vacation credits, the Thurgau State Chancellery wrote in a press release on Thursday.
According to the press release, either five or ten additional vacation days can be purchased in tranches per year; it is not possible to purchase individual days.
Around two percent of the annual salary is deducted for five days of vacation, the personnel office of the canton of Thurgau told the Keystone-SDA news agency in response to an inquiry. "The increase of ten vacation days therefore results in a deduction of around four percent."
