Two motorcyclists collided head-on on the Susten Pass road near Wassen UR on Friday afternoon. A 66-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to hospital by Rega. The second person involved was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 34-year-old man on a motorcycle with a license plate from Great Britain crossed into the oncoming lane while driving uphill in the lower Leggistein tunnel, the Uri cantonal police reported on Friday. He collided head-on with the motorcycle with the Schwyz license plate of the 66-year-old.

Property damage of around 25,000 Swiss francs was caused.
