In the canton of Zug, the drivers of two cars involved in two accidents in Oberägeri and Rotkreuz on Friday evening were only slightly injured. In the case of the driver who ended up in Lake Aegeri, alcohol was involved, as reported by the Zug law enforcement authorities on Saturday.

A 27-year-old driver left the road shortly before 9.30 p.m. on Morgartenstrasse in Oberägeri. His vehicle overturned and came to a standstill in Lake Aegeri after flying around 20 meters, according to a press release. An alcohol test showed a level of 1.66 per mille. The driver had to surrender his driver's license.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a 31-year-old man was driving on the A4 highway from Rotkreuz in the direction of Küssnacht SZ when his car overturned "due to failure to adjust speed", according to the law enforcement authorities. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by an ambulance. Meanwhile, his 30-year-old passenger remained uninjured.
