In the canton of St. Gallen, the seasonal decline in the number of jobseekers continued from May to June, the statistics office announced on Thursday. For the first time this year, fewer than 9,000 people were registered with a regional employment center (RAV).

This development had no impact on the unemployment rate. It remained unchanged at 1.7 percent. The increase mainly affected jobseekers from industry and the manufacturing sector, according to the press release.
