The Grand Council of the canton of Vaud wants the Dittli affair to be "fully clarified". A delegation of the supervisory commissions is to draw up a "specific report" on the irregularities in the Finance Department.

The chairmen of the six parliamentary groups in the cantonal parliament declared on Tuesday that it was the duty of the Grand Council to analyze Jean Studer's investigation report as part of its supervisory powers. As an independent expert, he had made several accusations against Vaud State Councillor Valérie Dittli (center).

Dittli, who was stripped of her financial powers last Friday, was accused, among other things, of having exceeded her authority as Director of Finance in dealing with individual tax dossiers and of a possible breach of official secrecy.

The investigative delegation is to consist of eleven to 13 members of the Audit Committee and the Finance Committee. The conclusions of its report are expected by the end of 2025.
